RMQHA/RMPHA Larry Pippin Memorial Golf Tournament

The sun shone brightly on July 8th as the Plum Creek Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado, played host to the highly anticipated RMQHA/RMPHA Larry Pippin Memorial Golf Tournament. The perfect weather provided a stunning backdrop for a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and celebration of the legacy of Larry Pippin.

Golf enthusiasts gathered early in the morning, eager to hit the greens and showcase their skills. The tournament, named in honor of the late Larry Pippin, a beloved figure in the Rocky Mountain Paint Horse Association (RMPHA) community, brought together participants of all ages and skill levels.

Their skillful play and teamwork earned them the top spot and the admiration of their peers. Close behind, the “Youngsters” secured second place with a remarkable score of -19, showcasing their talent and tenacity. First place for the men’s/women’s mixed team was awarded to Team Weaver, who turned in a score of -1. The closest to the pin was awarded to Rick Hubbard. The longest drive (Men) was claimed by Chad Busnardo. Longest drive (Women) was awarded to June Laird.

As the day progressed, it became evident that the competition would be fierce. Teams navigated the course with determination, their spirits high as they enjoyed the pristine conditions and breathtaking views that Plum Creek Golf Club has to offer. The atmosphere was electric, with laughter and friendly banter echoing across the fairways.

The highlight of the event came as the final scores were tallied and the winners were announced. Emerging victorious was Team “Tingletips”, finishing with an impressive score of -21.

In addition to the competitive spirit, the tournament was marked by a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the sponsors who made the event possible. Their generous contributions ensured that the tournament was a resounding success, providing participants with an unforgettable experience.
